Fairer fares for the blind, partially sighted and their designated companions

Having finally got on to the main business of the day at Full Council it was very pleasing to learn that Cabinet had found the ca. £50k p.a. to support the blind, partially sighted together with their designated companions being able to have  FREE bus passes 24/7!

The council is still petitioning central government to increase the amount being granted to our county, where we feel that the extreme rurality of the county, in particular, has not been acknowledged and therefore omitted from the calculation.
