Following the shock to us all about the MP expense accounts, our own MP – Richard Bacon – has made an on line statement that can be viewed and commented upon here.

Norfolk County Council Elections 2009
May 18, 2009 · Leave a Comment
I was elected to Norfolk County Council in 2005 and have had various roles and responsibilities during the past 4 years.
The thing that still amazes me it how large Norfolk is and the number of services for which the County Council is responsible. Everything from school buses to day care for the elderly, from libraries and museums to schools for children with special needs………………and the range within that term is enormous! The roads, lay-bys, bus stops as well as street lighting and waste (although the collection is done by the Districts). There are no end of “partnerships”, where we are working with other organisations, many of which are charities, e.g. Help the Aged and The Norfolk Historic Buildings Trust.
Anyway, I decided to put myself forward again and was selected by the local South Norfolk Conservative Association to represent Diss & Roydon again.
The Norfolk County manifesto can be seen via Facebook, so please have a look, sign up and particularly get out and Vote on 4th June.
We’ve also got a short YouTube upload : YOU decide WHO decides !
