Public Meetings

  • The Safer Neighbourhood Panel and the Neighbourhood Forum Panel, (which hands out for small grants for Community projects), are now going to meet on the same day.  The next meeting date will be on the SNAP website.

Both cover the villages surrounding Diss so the meetings may be held in  one of the local village halls or Diss Corn Hall. (Safer Neighbourhood Action Panel).  More information on the Neighbour Forum via this link to South Norfolk District Council.

Roydon Parish Council - held at the Village Hall/Barclay Room and sometime the Parish Room in the church.  Check their website for meeting dates – the link can be found on my Blogroll.

The first item at each meeting is what is called “Residents Forum” – residents are able to talk about ANY local issue. Public hedges that need trimming, street lights that are not working, allotments, dog mess etc. If you would like me to introduce you, or to speak on your behalf dont hesitate to contact me.

  • Diss Town Council – The main Council meeting held is in the Council Chamber of the Corn Hall on a Wednesday evening, preceded by their planning committee at 6.30.  Other Committee meetings usually use the Council Chamber too, but are sometimes during the day.

All these meetings are held open for the public to attend, so please check the Town Council website for up to date information.

If you have any issue you wish to raise, you need to advise the Clerk to the Council in advance. Again, I could do this on your behalf, or help you.
