  • Next meeting in May date & venue to be confirmed  As the Safer Neighbourhood covers the villages surrounding Diss, the meeting may be held in one of the vlagge halls. 
    SNAP (Safer Neighbourhood Action Panel) at Diss Corn Hall. This is a Committee of local people, including council members, run by the district council to agree with the police 3 themes on which to concentrate for the next 3 months. The current areas of concentration are:
  • Inconsiderate parking in the streets near the railway station
  • Setting up Youth activities in Dickleburgh
  • Speeding through the centre of Diss
  • Tues 18 March 7.15 pm - Roydon’s Annual Parish Meeting - held at the Village Hall
    Roydon Parish Council meet in the Barclay Room, Village Hall. The first item at each meeting is what is called “Residents Forum” - residents are able to talk about ANY local issue. Public hedges that need trimming, street lights that are not working, allotments, dog mess etc. If you would like me to introduce you, or to speak on your behalf dont hesitate to contact me.
  • Wed 19 March 7.15 pm - held in the Council Chamber of the Corn Hall
    Diss Town Council full council meeting, preceded by their planning committee at 6.30. If you have any issue you wish to raise, you need to advise the Clerk to the Council in advance. Again, I could do this on your behalf, or help you.
  • Thursday 3rd April - 7.30 - Waveney Valley Neighbourhood Forum to be held in the Terrence Airey Court, Harleston
    At this meeting the committee members will hear applications from local organisations for small grants. The main criteria is that it should be of benefit to the local community. More information via this link to South Norfolk District Council. Last submission date for this meeting is 20th March.
